If a person is sure that he has passed wind, then he has to do wudu', but if it is simply the movement of gas in the stomach, or he imagines that he may have passed wind, then he should not pay any attention to it. The mere movement of gas in the stomach or imagining that one may have passed wind does not invalidate wudu' [in this case. So redo wudu and pray that prayer again. That hadith is about OCD thoughts, some people, whenever they move they think they might have passed some wind and this goes on constantly. I passed through this phase once, whenever I washed my feet in wudu I felt like I had passed wind and had to redo wudu again and again, I spent hours trying to do wudu
One who is sure that he is with Wudu and has doubts about Hadath (breaking wind, passing urine or answering the call of nature), has to take certainty into account, since he is originally supposed to have Wudu and Hadath is accidental. This is proved in the Hadith of Abu Hurairah and 'Abdullah Ibn Zaid that states: what one should do if he. If you know for sure that wind is passed then your wudu is broken even if you did not hear the sound or felt the smell. This rule applies only if you are in doubt
Shorter Answer: The basic principle concerning emission of wind is that it invalidates wudu', but if a person passes wind continually, he should just perform wudu' for each prayer when he wants to pray, then if wind comes out of him whilst he is praying, that does not invalidate it; he has to continue with his prayer until he completes it. 2) IF YOU ARE SURE that you have passed wind, your wudu'' is invalidated, whether there is a smell or sound, or neither. If this happens while you are still performing wudu'', then you need to re-start the wudu'' (over again). If it happens during salah, you need to break off the salah and go and repeat your wudu
Q: Everytime I offer salah and in standing and bowing position I feel wind coming out and I repeat my wudu. At other times I'm not sure whether wind came out. I'm getting really nervous and depressed. Is this waswasa from shaytan, please clarify When I make wudu I can't just stand calmly and wash each part. I'm moving awkwardly and squeezing myself in so I don't pass gas. I really worry when I get to do my feet because I have to lift my leg and I'm worried about passing wind. I sometimes constantly restart my wudu because I'm feeling something in my backside area that resembles wind. Having a doubt that one's wudu is broken does not cause one's wudu to break. Rasulullah said that one should not leave the masjid out of a doubt of passing wind until one hears the sound thereof or gets the smell thereof. In other words, one must be absolutely certain that one's wudu has broken and not rely on mere doubts Concerning the breaking of Wudu by passing wind a Hadith of Sahih Bukhari states: Volume 1, Book 4, Number 139: Narrated 'Abbas bin Tamim: My uncle asked Allah's Apostle about a person who imagined to have passed wind during the prayer. Allah's Apostle replied: He should not leave his prayers unless he hears sound or smells something.
Having doubts about passing wind during ablution Date: 8-3-2017. Assalaamu alaykum, Scholars. While I was performing ablution to pray the Fajr prayer, I had a doubt whether I passed wind or not. I thought I did not, but I was unsure. Nevertheless, I ignored it and continued performing ablution and then prayed normally. Was this correct I don't think there is Qur'ānic verse on this topic however there is several Hadīths. One who is sure that he is with Wudu and has doubts about Hadath (breaking wind, passing urine or answering the call of nature), has to take certainty into accou.. Factors that break and do not break Wudu. 1. The passing of stool, urine and wind breaks wudu. However, if one passes wind from the forepart, as it occassionally happens because of sickness, wudu will not break. If some worms or stones come out from the front or back, then too wudu will break. 2 . Purity and physical cleanliness are very important in Islam. You should never have any foul smell during prayers. A fart that breaks wudu in Islam is any gas that comes out of your body through the anus If a person doubts whether he has performed a fard prayer or not after the time has passed, he will not be held responsible for it even if he has not performed it. 5. If a person doubts whether he has washed an organ after he has made wudu, he needs to wash that organ again if he does not usually have doubts like that

I am facing a problem. 1) Sometimes I feel wind passes suddenly without notice, in the middle of prayer. Passage of wind during Namaaz defunct Namaaz (Salat) if it is deliberate I should be held responsible. If it passes (as in my case sometimes) all of a sudden (very very very minor one) which I feel. This does not mean that if one knows that one has passed wind but that one has not heard or smelt anything that wudu is intact. Mufti Taqi al-Uthmani explaining this said: Therefore there is agreement (ijma) that if no noise or smell but passing wind is definitely known even then wudu will break Don't worry, as far as I remember there is a Hadith in Sahih Bukhari that essentially means, as long you don't sense both sound and smell (because of the breaking of wind or fart) your wudu is still valid and so is your salat. Sahih Al-Bukhari Hadith 1.139 Narrated by Abbas bin Tami Are you sure it's not a physical condition ? If you're sure that it is not physical and it is mental, maybe you could do a test of sorts to convince yourself that you can hold it. Do wudu and read Quran continuously for 20 minutes or so.
